    Why start with John?

The Gospel of John was written so that readers "might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name" (John 20:31). It is the clearest place to meet Jesus: His words, His miracles, His death and His resurrection.

The last nine days take you through the Psalms, Proverbs and the letters, so you finish with a taste of the whole Bible: prayer, wisdom and Christian living.
